All Chromolith® columns are made of monolithic silica with a characteristic bimodal pore structure. Chromolith® HighResolution 2 mm I.D. columns have macropores with 1.15 μm diameter, giving a column efficiency exceeding 140,000 plates/meter. The mesopores are 15 nm (150 ?), the surface modification is octadecylsilan with full end-capping.
