应用介绍：An isoqinoline alkaloid shown to have a chemopreventive property against colon tumor formation by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase-2 (cox-2) which is abundantly expressed in colon cancer cells. Also inhibits Activator Protein 1 (AP-1), a transcription factor that plays a critical role in inflammation and carcinogenesis. Treatment with berberine potentially results in the reduced accumulation of chemotherapeutic drugs.
